DAY & NITE TRIP’N AROUND…

First off we ….
We went to Camping World at Kissimmee'…Sarah had something to return and I wanted to get some Oderlos for my tanks…you know the ones….
100_7031
Then we tooled around checking out all the new rigs…here is Sandy ready to motor down the highway in a very nice and big Class A she liked…Linda and Sandy might be looking to up grade from a TT to a Motor Home..some time before Linda retires..just look’n at this point…
2014-03-01_14-55-50_975
And here is Sarah jumping out a big nice Class A…I never got a pic of Linda touring the rigs she seemed to always  be one step ahead of us…
2014-03-01_14-58-45_672
Getting ready to leave Camping World finally got pix of Linda at the meeting of the minds trying to fix a broken pair of sun glasses…after leaving CW we went to Golden Coral and stuffed our selves so bad we could hardly walk out..it was more like rolling out moaning in pain…sorry no pix was to busy stuffing my face to take any..then in to much misery to care …lol never again will I over eat!!!

When we got …
back to ST. Cloud I was playing around with my smart phone and showed the girls all the Geocaches in the area…that peaked their interest…when we got back close to the L&S Resort…there was a couple close by…so we went looking for this one  at a little park…found it and showed it to them…this is Sarah getting ready to get back into the van..standing close to where the cache was found..

And we saw this pretty sun set just as we were leaving the park…my phone does not take good sun sets or sun rise pix,…

Then later….
to the The Dark Sky Festival after it got dark of course…the had speakers, telescopes to look thru at the cosmos…rides and fair type things for kids…this is the first time I have ever heard of this…very interesting…

So that is it for  now….I don’t think I will go to the Strawberry Fest. looks to much like a county fair…and I am not into that type of thing right now…use to love going to fair but no more…so not sure what will do today Mon. yesterday when I talked to dad he ask if I was on my way back….so maybe I will head to Melbourne Tues. for sure…so thanks for looking and come back soon…

A WORKING OVER NIGHT’ER….

I parked at….
Wickham Park campgrounds here in Melbourne for over night…it is only about 5 miles or less from dads house…but this is not a pleasure stay…
2013-10-23_15-30-51_619
I have been here playing around with this pretty red hose…lol…been having problems with a smelly black tank…on and off for the last 6 months really got bad on the way back from PA…I finally posted on the Women RV forum about my problems…should have done it awhile ago…anyway I got a lot of help from them…so right now and last evening I have been filling and dumping both my tanks..trying to get them clean..don’t know why all those stones are in the dump area…
004
To make a very long story short …it was my own stupid fault that I have this problem…knowing nothing about an RV when I got this a year ago..(wow its been a year this month)… I was so wrapped up in the other functions of the rig and trying to figure them out that I didn’t think that the tanks were that complicated …well I was wrong… not complicated but do need special care…one part of the care is WATER lots and lots of water…and other things such as the pic below…I will now be using lots of water and Calgon water softener to keep it clean and some kind of enzyme tor smell…
005
I think the problem will be solved when I am done with all this filling, flushing and dumping of the tanks…if not then I will have to look at other things such as the vent pipe…ugh..please no…let this take care of it…
I am also trying to get ready to leave for Silver Springs …leaving on Sat…meet up with Linda..spend the night parked at her house then we will leave on Sun for the campground I think it is about 100 mile from there…I will be gone for a week…so need to get food to feed my self and a couple of pot luck’s…just found out you can rent kayaks there..so I am looking forward to some kayaking, glass bottom boat..and what ever else there is to do..I am sure a lot…boy I wish I had my own kayak…I think check out is at 3 pm…so better get busy with my flushing…thanks for looking and come back soon..blessings to all …G&M

NEWS PAPER CACHE

THE CACHE
NEWS PAPER CACHE
WEATHER: Today is grrrrreat! temp 80 with a few clouds as we have a storm coming Thur and Friday.
This cache I found the other day, first one of this kind that I have come across. By the color of the cache you can figure out where it was hid. If you click on the pic you can enlarge it and look hard you can see it. Took no time to find it by the clues on the web site
Went with dad to do a few errands, that took most of the morning so we ate at Bugger King. Came home took Maggie for a walk to the park, didn't see much interesting this time . But the other day I seen a dolphin that was neat. Today I did see a guy with a kayak and was talking to him about kayaking. I ask if I could lift it to see how heavy they are , he told me to go to Bevard Zoo to take one out and see if I liked it, he said it's in a contained area and safe for newbies . That is one more thing to do when I come back. Can't wait!! Life is good in Florida.
Thats all for now stay tuned to see what tomorrow will bring

YARD SALE & CRAFT SHOW

COCOA VILLAGE SHOP DRIFTWOOD FISH

VINTAGE JEWELRY

VINTAGE JEWELS WEATHER : BEAUTIFUL! 70

This was a busy weekend, Sat we had another yard sale and this time I put stuff
that I brought down out to sell. It was pretty good I came with about 7 totes and
ended up with only 3. Makes me happy! Dad did good also. On Sun. I went with a new
Florida friend to a craft show in Cocoa Village. It was a very good show but did have to much
jewelry as many shows have now. It was this shopping area with the streets blocked off
And everyone set up along the streets. There is a pic of one of the shops posted.
On Sun. it did not look like it was well attended, But that’s par for the course on most spring shows. One of the pic’s is of a drift wood carving The head of a fish. Click on it to see it larger.
We also stopped at a large flea market in Cocoa, I checked around and this looks like a good place and when I come back hope to sell at it. I am going back to look around this coming weekend.
Thats all for now stay tuned and see what tomorrow brings

GEOCACHE and RELAY FOR LIFE

WOOD CACHE SEE IT?

MICRO

CHECK SIZE WITH NICKLE WEATHER : Rain early this AM then sun for awhile now gray with wind.
CLICK ON PIC TO ENLARGE
Went caching yesterday with Maggie, she needed her truck fix so away we went
This is one we found neat idea it is what they call a bison tube attached to a piece of wood
used as a plug that is inserted in the 8X8 post, under the yellow reflector. You can see it in the pic
I took I like these kind of cache's you have to look around a little and eliminate things one by one.
T his was at the end of a dead end road. Only took a few min to find.
My DD in VA is deep into the Relay for Life. She is doing fund raisers there and she has a web page for one of the fund raisers. My mother died of breast ca when she was 4o yrs old , in 1969. She is doing this for her, she has a pic of mom on the page a very old pic of her sitting on the bank of a creek with feet in the water, check it out and donate if you would like to help out breast ca research. And thanks in advance. I think next yr I will get involved. Here is the link, I will put it on my side bar if I can figure out how. I think mag & I will take a walk to the park soon. Fixing fried rice for supper, dad doesn't care for it so he is fixing liver&onions for him. Yuk!! That's all for now stay tuned see what tomorrow brings!

WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING

BEFORE
DURING

AFTER

YARD SALE FL 2010

MORE YARD SALE WEATHER: COLD AND RAIN ALL DAY HIGH 55
Here are a few pic's of what I have been doing. The two tables are like the ones that they sell at Ikea, (I think) I got them at a yard sale a few weeks ago. Needed something to do so I painted them red white and blue then antiqued them. I usually use Bri Wax to antique with but didn't have any with me and could not find any here. Used some stuff I got at Micheal's but don't like it at all. But they still look nice. I put them in the yard sale but they didn't sell , I didn't think the would because they were not priced at a yard sale price. I will take them up north with me and sell there. The other thing that took up a lot of time was helping dad get ready for his yard sale. We had a good amount to sell and sold almost all of it. Made him happy. I will be having another sale next Sat. if the weather is ok. I brought stuff to sell at some flea markets here but have not found one that would work for me. Maybe with yard sale I can make some gas money for return trip.
This AM I went to a grocery store called Publix nice store, a relief from WM. There are a few others I want to try also. We won't be doing much today I am sitting here in front of the window blogging watching the rain pour down. Maggie is lying on the bed sleeping. She wakes up if a squirrel runs up one of the palm trees in front of the window, the other day one fell out of the tree and hit the window, scared the bejebies out of me. lol. Well thats all for now stay tuned to see whats next in sunny FL

CACHING

EAST COAST CACHE
THE CACHE WEATHER: Nice this AM rain this afternoon, part of the snow storm in the north.
temp was 70 mostly cloudy
Here is another geocache we found, a typical fence type cache. It hides a trash container owned by East Coast. Was pretty easy to find now that I know about the " fence type caches" and nothing exciting happened while we looked for it.
Worked in the yard again today, on Mon. dads friend came by with his chain saw and gave the palm trees a" hurricane hair cut". I will show you pic's and explain when I get the pic's uploaded.
I am going to plant an herb garden and I worked on getting that ready. In the fern weeds I found a stag horn plant , it was almost a goner but I am going to try and save it, they are very interesting things. I have do some research on them.
I am trying not to think about leaving and heading north,my time here is going so fast! the things I have been working on , I will have some before and after pics to show you.
Guess thats all for tonite, to see what tomorrow will bring stay tuned

GEOCACHE & RAIN

ST. JOES CACHE
THE CACHEWEATHER: Today it rained all day long gray and cloudy, still 63 so I still like FL.
Maggie and I went out caching again today but cut it short because of rain. We did find this one not far away about 2 mi. I was a pill bottle with just a log. I looked for this one the other day but to many mugglers around so we came back. A hind was " look waist high" well I looked all over that place and could not come up with it, so got out old Mrs. Garmin-Geea and as soon as she zeroed in on it ...I found it. I still am not sure how much I should post about the cache's, I would like to tell more but, don't want to give it away. Any ideas out there please post them.
They came to start on energy saving construction on dad's house today he got some grant stuff from the state. Insulation, caulking , duct work, etc stuff like that. It was all to much for Maggie so we went out and about in the rain. I hope we have no rain on sat so we can have the yard sale.
Not much else going on this rainy day. Don't know what tomorrow will bring stay tuned to find out.
