WHAT’S UP…..

Well as I said…
I am back in Florida…and it is still way to hot for me…I have to do what ever I want out side or in the rig early in the morning then spend the rest of the day in the house…I am not a happy camper spending the day in a house…but that said…it isn’t so bad right now as I have been have a big problem with my back and right leg…spending a lot of time resting my leg…and it is getting better…it is most bothersome when sitting…not good for some one that has an RV..driving is the worst..that is what started the whole thing to begin with…but I feel I am on the mend now…
A cool tree we seen on our hike
Cool tree on our hike...
Looked out my craft/art room…
this morning and saw this…
003
Ibis in the back yard
So I slipped out the door hoping to get a better look…
001
002
I followed them around the yard….
I have found that you never know what you will find in your yard here in Florida…Remember the Pelican that came for a drink of water I posted about …funny things happen…Well my leg is getting much better…glad for that…I think it was all from my 004back..Also I booked a site at Silver River ST. Park here in Florida for a week at the end of Oct…some of my Women RV friends are going to be there for a mini GTG before the big one in Jan…and on the Fantasy Football scene …Grammy kicked bu**…lol, lol, I beat them all this week…So on that note I will see ya later…have a great day and stay safe…thanks for looking and come back soon..

Some sights, sites, around the cg…
At this no hook up site…was a tree carve from an old tree stump over looking this part of the lake… they also had a few loose stumps to use as stool seats…around the site…

A nice back in site with a view of the lake.. nice and flat…
2013-06-05_09-08-01_673
Looking down one of the empty loops…it is a tad early and cool for this COE campground to be filled up…but in the summer it is filled most of the time…but some sites for passing thru RV’ers…The sites on the left would be lake side sites…
2013-06-05_09-01-49_574
Here are a few neighbors we saw …and this boat was docked right behind the camp site…lot of the sites you could do this…
2013-06-05_09-12-23_427
This was looking up our loop…you can see just the tip of Liz.s car and the cab of my rig..it was a little on the foggy side the morning I took this…

LAST DAY & A DUMMY

011313165025Well here I am on the last morning of my shake down camping trip. Learning how to do the dump! My trusty blue gloves on I am ready to pull the leaver. I did learn that you keep the tanks closed while camping until they fill, up then you empty them. I have been worrying an wondering where I was going to store the hose after done. Then MM said don’t you have an out side compartment for that?? I said don’t think so ….she said what is that under the slide out? I looked and low and behold there was a small compartment just the right size….lol…guess that is where it will now live. The dumping went on with out a hitch.
2013-01-12_08-55-23_851Some inside living over the weekend. Piece of vintage material with palm trees on it…using it for a table cloth.
2013-01-11_13-59-20_105Now you are asking what is that ladder doing under my window??? Well this is one of my stupid things of the weekend. I locked my keys in MySweetDream. Went over to tell MM about my dilemma …she ask if my window was open…it was …so she said slide your screen back and see if you can see where they are and if you can get them. Dummy me did not know that the screen slid back! Got MM ladder and a grabber and grabbed them up. And embarrassment and $$ were saved !
2013-01-12_13-30-38_278Late Sat. afternoon one of the big boys showed up. Now  my RV looks really big when parked dads drive way, but next to these biggies…its really little. Bob & BJ full time in this beautiful RV. Talked to them a couple times but didn’t get to know them as I left the next day. BJ did a great job giving Bob help backing in. Slick as whistle.

Well that’s all I have now about my shake down camp. I had a great time and can’t wait for the next time. Going to the park after this is just not cutting it. All for now thanks for looking and come back soon

CRACK OF DAWN & GAS

Yesterday….
Got up at the crack of dawn today in order to go over to the local WM and get our first gas up in the MH. I figured it would be less busy at 7 am. And it worked out fine, was able to get in easy and leave easy.
2012-10-28_07-31-28_570
As you can see Maggie girl was supervising the whole ordeal. We did ok, I hope all gas ups are as easy as this one was.

Then we at our breakfast in the parking lot, I made my version  of egg mcmuffin at home and brought it along.

Then we headed out for our day trip today. No beach or park this time. Instead we went to the Supper Flea Market in Melbourne. Got there about 8:30 weren’t to many ahead of us, parking lot was almost empty. We parked way in the back. But by noon the lot was all most full, with a semi parked right in front of us. He had a whole parking lot to park in when he pulled , why he got in front of us is beyond me.

Nice having our house on wheels with us! We walked around first thing , but many booths were  not open yet so we went out side walked around a bit, waited in MH for a couple hrs. Worked on the Christmas stocking I am crocheting for my dd. She lost hers.   Only bought pizza and bad girl got a
funnel cake!! That was the first and last one this year. I did see alot of neat things  to use in the MH but did not buy anything yet. Maggie got pushed around in her "buggy" haveing a good time. She really likes to ride in it. When she sees me getting it ready she is dancing around can hardly contain her self lol.
Then we went to the park for a few hrs. and see this kid with his fishing bike. Way cool, I ask him if he made it and said sure did. Love it.

COUPLE MORE PIC’S OF NEW RIG

2012-10-07_11-05-09_825Well I  am so excited that I have a hard time figuring out what to do next. If I am coming  or going ! Did go yesterday and get Ins. started. They called me yesterday about a pickup date. So it will be a week from this Friday Oct. 19th. I will have my RV crash course school that day also. Was thinking about asking dad if he wanted to go with  me, four eyes and ears are better than two. Especially when two of them are so excited that things will be missed and will not be remembered later. He could rest in the rig when he gets tired. This pic was take with the dinette slide in, and look at how much room  is still there.
2012-10-07_11-04-18_740And look who already is at home!! When my tech Cas called yesterday he said if I had any questions just to call him. Well I called him this morning after being awake most of last night thinking lol But all the things that I ask about were already in the process of getting the rig ready for delivery. It sure sounds like from what the sales peeps told me and what the tech said they really go over their rigs with a fine tooth comb, to make sure they are road worthy before they send them out. They also do a complete job of detailing inside and out. The only thing they don’t do is wax the outside, even tho I mentioned it I couldn’t get that done lol. The it has a back be with windows all around what you see is the back window. There is only one slide and that is the dinette. It has a back up camera also. I tried it out when I test drove it, I tried to back it in between the white lines in a parking space at the Mall and did it perfect! But then again I am use to backing up a full size van over the years, so it worked good for me. For some reason I thought it was 25ft but it is 29ft. 25 would have been better for me but I can work with 29 Winking smile I will have more to tell ya soon.
Thanks for looking and come back soon

MADE IT...

Well we made it to Florida. Left on wed morning after having breakfast with my sister. She made it for us. Then we got to VA about 3 pm to visit with my daughter. Went to dinner with daughter, grandson and his wife. Dad got a room at the red roof inn, and Maggie and I a good sleep in the van. Morning son in law took a half day off to see us off (he had to work late on wed) so him, daughter, dad and me went to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. Then before we left, had to check on getting a pair of shoes. No luck. Then a stop at WM to get a battery operated fan. It was really hot in the van last nite. This pic is of Maggie last week before we left. She had some real bad hot spots that she would not leave alone so I went to pet smart and got one of these E collars. She hated it but got use to it. Looks like she is giving me the harry eye lol.

All packed and ready to go including Maggie Girl.
We traveled to Richburgh SC. on Thursday, 7 hrs. Lots of miles. Dad stayed at a very nice Motel 6 and Maggie & me stayed in the parking lot. Sleeping in the van again. Good thing I bought that fan because the further south we go the hotter it gets. The fan worked out very well, but I can see I will need to get rechargeable batteries and a charger. I takes 8 D batteries, and only will last 24 hrs. For now it will be a must have, camping in these southern states.

My basil plant this year. I wanted to use some of it before we left ......

So I made this. Basil Mayo, mmmmmm good on a BLT or just a tomato sammy. Friday morning we left early about 6:30 am. Drove all day and made it to Melbourne about 5 pm. Let me tell you that was a lot of miles in two days. I will never do that again. My left leg and foot was numb all nite and the next day. In GA on Friday afternoon we ran into a swarm of love bugs, lasted way in to FL. You should have seen poor MzSavana. I had to give her a bath on sat. I have read on some RV blogs that they will take the paint right off when the get mashed into your vehicle. Dad is pulling weeds and getting ready to plant his tomato garden already, He sure made a transformation after getting home. For the good.
Got the van all unpacked and ready to set up my craft/art room. It will be in the Florida room again. I wish I had room inside the house for it, but to to be. It is very hot and muggy here, and rainy. Storms going thur all the time, one right now. Went to the post office a little while ago and the love bugs are in Florida big time :(
Well all for now thanks for looking and come back soonThanks to all the kind words expressed with the lose of my brother in July. I just don't have the words to say anything, it is still so hard for me.

SIGNS OF FALL, CACHE OF THE DAY , & WM CAMPGROUND

GUARD RAIL FUN CACHE THE CACHE CAMO PILL BOTTLE

EXTREME FALL DECORATING !

WALLY WORLD CAMPGROUND
WEATHER: Nice over the weekend, today 51 with high of 64 rain and cloudy.
What have I been doing? Well after all the purging & packing, I have to many totes packed to take with me. So I have started to look thru them and repack! UGH!! I what to take my scrap booking things, vintage ephemera, items I call THRIFTY TIMELESS TREASURES , to sell on Esty. I want to sell things for peeps altered art and embellishing projects and things for collecting.
All my pictures, clothes, and other necessary items used for daily living. I want to take lot of things from my kitchen, I like to cook with my stuff. I have a small Toyota Tacoma truck and limited on each trip load. And of course Maggie and all her stuff. Yes she has STUFF, balls and toys thing that a doggie can't do with out. LOL That will be my focus now, getting ready to leave on Nov. 1 I am ready to go south!!
Posted a few pic's on things I seen in my travels this week. I like to decorate for fall but those huge pumpkins are way beyond my decorating! What would you do with them after? If you click on the pic you can see how much they weigh, the have it on a sign in front of each one. lol Lots of pies there! I know they are not pie pumpkins. :)
One other thing I saw was that RV parked in our Wal Mart with levels down, sides out, toad with motor cycle. It was parked there for 5 days. I seen a man coming out of it one day. No clue what was going on, I have seen lot of over nighters, but not long term like that. Our WM is less than a mile away and I go there alot:) So I see these things.
The cache of the day is one of the new GRF (like the one I lost, he replaced it by the way) This one was hard to see coming down the road, I stopped where the GPS said, it was a few feet away from hidden GR and all I seen was a small path into the woods. I went a few feet in looking for the GR , came back out when I didn't see it , walked behind the truck and seen the GR. Found it easily after that. That is what a "camo pill bottle" looks like. Pill bottle covered with camo duct tape. Bet you didn't know there was such a thing as camo duct tape!
Well since it is rain and gloom today, I will work inside on the tote thing. And what ever suits my fancy. I still have so much to do , I feel guilty when not working on something. I will be glad when this is done! Then I hope to find out what is really like to be retired and do what ever I want with out all the guilt. Dont know why I let that stuff bother me, at this time in my life but I do.
All for now thanks for stopping by
