With Nan yesterday…
We went to the Shaker Woods Festival in Columbiana Ohio…got there about 10 when they opened..I think they opened before because it was wall to wall people already…I tried to get the people and some of the buildings that vendors are set up in….
It has been at least 20 years since I have been to this festival…if not more…and it has changed a lot…for the better….below is some items from a stain glass artist…they had some beautiful stuff..
And I just loved these giant yard art flowers…they were huge….this would not be a good item to haul around in a rig…but I still would love to have one…or tow…lol
And I was able to find something new…at least new to me…this head of Jesus was sculpted out of burlap…totally beautiful…using the burlap for sculpting has problem been around but this is a first for me…
And the rest of the story….
The Shaker Woods Festival...this is the 33rd year for the festival...and it has been at least 20 years since I have been there...I use to go all the time when I was in the "business" ...over 200 vendors dressed in period clothing demonstrating and selling their hand made wares...I must say this is a top notch show and 95 % hand made some people tried to sprinkle in some commercial items but I did spot them right away as I knew the whole sale business also...we were there about 4 hrs. before we pooped out ...and we did not see all of it...Needless to say I was impressed how it has grown...and for the better...if I had won the lottery there was a water feature for your patio or yard that I would have got for Margie...you will see it on my blog in the next few days...We left there and went to Pat Catans for more crafty stuff..decided I liked the lantern so went after more stuff to make them…I also found out on this day out that I am not as well as I thought I was… I have made huge progress…but not what I thought I could do…it was way to long with out resting my back…and I was in much pain by the time I got home and the rest of the evening…so laid on the bed and watch crappy TV the rest of the evening…but better this morning so my out look is renewed…but will take it easy today…laundry and see what is on my 6 TV stations…ugh…my mind has projects but my body doesn't …well all for now I will post more on what I seen at SWF next post…thanks for looking and come back soon…blessings to all G&M
PS…to Sherry…go to your Play Store on your phone…(I think you have an Android) and search “Overnight Parking “ that app will come up I down loaded that one… and also I down loaded Roadtrippers from Play Store…when I did internet search it gave me this link on my lap top also I need to check this one out…
