MANATEE PARK & A ROCKET

2012-10-04_08-16-54_685Breakfast camp this morning at our park, heard a roar, knew it was not a jet from the airport, so looked up and saw this. The roar from these rockets give you the chills.  Did not see the rocket but saw this trail. Air Force sent a Delta 4 rocket up with a GPS satellite for the military. So the news said.  Here in Florida you never know what you might see or happen upon.
2012-10-04_10-09-15_948The we found this park. This weekend there is going to be a craft show in old historic Melbourne. And I want to go spend most of the day there. So we were looking for a nice place in the shade to park for the day. Found this close to the action, I have been here before (after a geocache) and for got all about it. Walked around today. This will be our parking place this weekend.2012-10-04_10-09-57_208Very small park with these fake Manatee playing in a fake pool. The park is right across the road from another park where in the winter you can come and see the Manatee keeping warm. I have not been here in the winter to check it out but will do this winter. That’s about all for today, next post I will show you the park where you can watch the Manatee. Thanks for looking and come back soon.

WORKING ON MZSAVANA

004Well here are a few pic using live writer so not sure where this will end up. What I did the other day was put a skirt around the bed.Got my staple gun out and material I already had.002You can see Maggie’s buggy in this one and on the left is a tote with stuff in it that I will be using while camping. And also use it for a table inside. Have a round fold up table for outside.001View from the back. There is quite a bit of storage room  under the bed. I sit in there sometimes and study on how or what I should put in there for extended camping and traveling.
This morning we had our breakfast at Ballard Park, saw some dolphin swimming around. Man checking his crab traps, and a bunch of dogs being walked. Few guys putting in boats also.
Think today I will be working on the craft room. I really can’t do much work in there until I get it organized. Then I am going to get together some things to work on while I am traveling or camping. even maybe taking a day trip to a park. Just some things to do while out and about. I am an outside gal. and all this staying in the house is getting to me. I would just like to go to some of the wonderful parks here in Florida and just spend the day. To hot yet. Well that’s about it, thanks for looking and come back soon

WHAT'S GOING ON

Friday and Sat. we  went here for our breakfast picnic. This is a really nice park here in Melbourne. 300 + acres. Also has a campgrounds.

We parked here under this live oak tree. I was sitting reading Maggie was lying on the bed when a acorn dropped on the roof right above Maggie. lol she jumped straight up and went crazy trying to find out where the acorn went, she was sure it was in the van somewhere.
There is a ton of stuff to do in this park. Here is one of the many, many trails you can hike on. There is also many events that are held in the park.

This was Maggie's first trip here and she could not keep her nose of the ground. To many new smells and dogie smells, tons of dogs are walked here and they do have a dog park. Right now I will not be taking her there, as she does not like large dogs. And it is an off leash dog park. They make me nervous also since we have been attacked 3 times by large dogs.
Went to yard sales and found nothing, waste of gas. Spent all Sat. afternoon cooking, so I don't have to cook all week. Put in freezer, my version of fast food. Cheaper and healthier. I have been reading a RV forum for some time. So felt it was time to join in on it. They are having a get together in Florida the end of Jan. Well since chatting with these very nice ladies I decided to join in on the fun. So reserved a spot for a couple days.http://www.womenrv.com/forum/ The GTG will be at Hillsborough River State Park here in FL. It is just north of Tampa. Almost straight across the state from me. To tell you the truth, living here is pretty lonely, not knowing anyone, so its about time I get out and about. There are several Florida peeps going. And a lot of snowbirds will be there. I am pretty excited about it, wish it was not 4 months away. I have been getting MzSavana ready and will show you what I have got done so far next post.
As soon as it cools down here I am going to take a couple over night camping trips to get the kinks worked and to know what I will need to take with me.
Well that's it for now thanks for looking and come back soon
