STILL IN VA….

Better view of where we are….
This is a better view of MySweetDream parked at my DD’s…they have fixed up their home like a beach side cottage…as she loves the beach….the knock out roses are just starting to bloom…in lower left of pic…when they are in full bloom..they have a silvery glow about them…like bright moon beams…she has secret food she feeds them…I have never seen anything like them…

Missed the tulips again…
Again I missed the tulips in bloom she has them planted all along the curve of this area up to the front steps…they are planted think and lovely…she text me a pic of them not sure how to get pic from text to blog…

Scene from the beach…
Some shells that were piled up at Fernandina Beach in FL…tons of shells…I really love this beach and cant wait to go back..will stop on way back to dad’s in the fall…

Sail boats all over the park…
One Sat. at the home park…there were about 30 small one man sale boats…it was  not a good weather day and about 11 am they all went out and about 1 pm they all came sailing back and a fast pace trying to beat the storm that was right behind them…they just made it…

I guess I will be leaving here headed to PA..on Monday ….will have to stop first and see about getting my water turned on….I hope to drive it all in one day…will see how it goes…want to go to a flea market on Sun down the road from DD house…All for now thanks for looking and come back soon..blessings G&M

A LITTE SHOPPING AND THE BEACH

Yesterday sis and I went out and did a little shopping, went to Viera. Went over to The Avenue,  stopped at Michaels. Then went over to the WM plaza and stopped at Holly Lobby and Ross’s. I got a couple tops and a table cloth at Ross’s. Took us all day for 3 stores, we would have to spend a week or more to visit every store there. Also had lunch at Chic F. Got this hanging holder with 35 pockets on each side to store things. I will be using it for my art/craft items that I want to travel with me in the rig. In fact it is working so good I am going back and get another one. Got this at Ross’s while shopping in Viera.
A couple  of sis visiting days we went to the beach.
This is a pic from the first day we went. It was hazy and over cast most of the day, then in late afternoon the sun came out a bit, and the color of the ocean was unbelievable, bright aqua, in front with dark blue the further out you went….click on the pic to see the color better…at times like this I wish I had a good camera.

And here is Maggie lying on her new beach matt. Enjoying the waves and sea gulls and other birds that she can not catch, much to her dismay.
We took the rig so we could take breaks, here is what we had for lunch. Pretty healthy I would say …better than McD’s that is right across the road.
The main reason for going to the beach was to get some shell for sister Nancy. There were a ton of shells that day so she had a ball gathering. I have not yet taken any pic’s of the shells. We are having a good time visiting here in Florida, everyday we check the weather in PA… and compare lol….

THE BEACH ON WED.

Wow even though the hurricane was around 200 miles away from us out to sea, the beach erosion was really bad. I would hate to see if it was closer or made land fall here. The dunes that you see at the far left of the pic, is what's left of them. The were clear out to the end of the steps, and the steps are about 5 feet under sand. They were much longer then they are now.
Sandy brought in sand and took away sand. The rock formations were not here before, you could not see them. I am amazed at what I am seeing at the beach.And shells, it is shell heaven here right now, all up and down the beach is looks like this. In some places it is 4 in. deep in shells. I went out for a walk and got some for my dd to paint here Santa's on. I think I will come back tomorrow with my scooper and get some to make a few crafty things. I was going to try the generator again today but was having to much fun on the beach so just at my lunch cold and went on with beachy things. Talked to a man that was cracking open large clams. He uses them for fishing bait. Salts them down in fridge over nite and that keeps them hard so they don’t fall of hook. Learn something new everyday. I will be coming back here on Thurs.
