10 DAYS AND COUNTING…

From my garden…
The third picking of my baby roma’s…that I planted in a container ….I really don’t know how I got such little ones…just the right size for a salad…not bad from a container and planted late in June…

I started doing this…
packing getting  ready for my trip south…I have more room in the back bay than I thought I would have…the totes and other stuff are placed  where they will ride…but the two tool bags will move…and more totes added…I have my flea market boards and blue metal saw horse type things..you can see them in the back..

The cooler will stay at the end so I can access it easily …I will not be using the fridge in the rig on this trip…don’t plan on having many perishables along..will stop along the way…that afghan will not be there either…

Looks like my own…
private camp ground…shade trees and sun…can’t ask for much more…lol…

I had to move the rig…they came on Tues. and stared to fix up my sidewalk and drive way…when they pour the cement I can not drive on it for a week…and at this point I don’t think I will be here anyway…I was worried about the rig being on the street…1. at night they do not stop for the stop signs and go way to fast to be able to see what is ahead…let alone now they have to see around the rig..2. I don’t want the neighbors complaining so I ask for a couple cones to put up…and look what they did…put those reflector caution things up behind and along side the rig…I feel better about it…The head guy doing this part of the project also did me another favor…putting a piece of PVC pipe under the side walk to replace one that was all clogged up…it is the drain that comes from my eve spouting…he didn’t have to do that…

And the rest of the story…
yes it is 10 days and counting before I leave. I have a lot of stuff done..packed ..just mostly the last min. things left …and to winterize the house…next week will be busy..was thinking I might go on Mon. or Tues. and camp one night to empty my tanks…I have neighbor man right across the street to keep eye on house, and my BIL will check it most every day on his way to work..he goes right by it…and a couple other neighbors will watch also…son will come in to mow and stuff…so I am pretty well set that way…I am ready to move on for this year…and I hope to finish everything up next summer..like the first month I am here..so I can get it on the market for the rest of the summer…God willing that’s my plan..that is it for now thanks for looking and come back soon…blessings..G&M

GETTING READY….

Started today ….
Doing outside prep for winter…I will be leaving in about 3 weeks…and time goes fast so thought I better get busy…and besides my garbage pick up ends this week so needed to get it done so they will take it on Thru.Working on trimming my butterfly bushes… Got that done and lawn mowed by 11:30 when it started to pour down rain…

While it was raining…
I worked on the front porch …stacking up the couple lawn chairs  I had there and one little lawn table…after rain..took them to the shed. The one little chair left goes in the RV..and table goes in the house…so I can still sit out there until I leave...and of course Maggie girl’s leash…so she can guard her domain…


Also need …
to finish up the trimming of the rose bushes ..but cant find my gloves…might have to go buy a new pair…the roses really grew “leggy” this summer so going to cut them way back…they should be moved not enough sun by the porch…this pic was taken early in the summer…

Hope to be doing….
some of this..(pic below) soon  (camping)…like on the way back to Florida…I have things to take with me..like a couple pieces of furniture…that might make things tight in the rig…

The rest of the story…
There is more storms and rain on the way…just sitting here in the RV..trying to figure out what to do next…only 1pm and I am tired…need to go get some Maggie food..either today or tomorrow..pet store is in a town 20 min. away so need to make a list of anything else I might need in that area…like getting some things at the Wal-Mart there that our WM does not have…It is nice that my sister is letting me user her van while she is recuperating from hip surg.

THINGS INSIDE…..

My new flag….
This is the finished flamingo flag. I got this flag at Camping World on the way home from the FL GTG. I added the Women RV to it using some black puff paint and black/green glitter. This flamboyant flamingo girl will live in this spot until we pull into a camp site then she will come out side on a flag holder! I put welcome on the other side in case I want to use her somewhere else. Click to get a better look!

New privacy day curtain…
I wanted some day time privacy. But yet let the outside light in. When I got the lacy curtain panels at that yard sale there was a lacy table cloth included in the deal. (all for a buck) They all were in great clean condition! So I just clipped it to the over cab area and “wa la” just what I wanted! There is Maggie girl taking a break. You can see in this pic how much room I have even with the slide in.

A little inside decorating…
Trying to do a little decorating with some things that I have here in Florida, things that I like to live with. I am a country girl at heart but love vintage, with a little bit of shabby and whimsy…lol…now what kind of decorating is that!! We will see what happens that’s for sure!! Here is the pop crate I talked about in another post…Yahoo chocolate pop…with some wood chickens gathering around. I use to  make and sell the chickens…also a couple of my vintage hand crochet pot holders that I collect.
The vintage white enamel coffee pot is still in good condition and I could use it if I want to heat up some water. But right now I am using it to store my wal mart bags in.
Love this….
I love this little “head ball” with one eye looking at me. She does this to me all the time when I am talking to her…sometimes I see two eyes with two big ears lol….

And the food…
This is my version of a not so spicy taco. I can not longer eat spicy food, and I love it…so I make up my style so I can eat it once in a while…still could not do it every day. 
I cooked up enough hamburger for 4 tacos that is 2 meals for me. Add a few sprinkles of taco seasoning….the when brown…add some mild salsa and cook until done…then just added some cherry tomatoes cut in half, lettuce..sharp shredded cheese , low fat sour cream on a soft tortilla.  I did not have any taco sauce but would have dashed on a few drops. It lacks a lot of the heat that most tacos have but it is ok enough that I get the taste and it is good. Sometime I use ground turkey in place of the beef.
