FIRST VISIT TO THE HOME PARK

The other day….

• We took our first day trip to the home park..the home park is Ballard  Park here in our neighborhood…just down the street from dads house…it is located where the Eau Gallie river goes into the Intercostal water way the Indian River Lagoon…next Sat. he 12th they are having a Geocaching event at this park Eau Gallie River Cleanup…they will be using kayaks and other water going vessels to clean up along the river…I don’t have a kayak yet..but can work with others at cleaning up the park…but let me tell you the parks in Florida are really neat and clean…I plan on spending the day at the park…if you want to check it out here is link

While we were there….
We seen some of the permanent residents of the park…This adult Blue Heron is always hanging around the park…in mating season there are more as there is a Blue Heron rookery in our hood that is loaded with big tall pine trees that is were the nest are…but this guy is here all the time…

And then there are these guys also…they hang around a lot also…Wood Storks..along with Ibis, Egrets, sometimes by the dozens,,,I think it is because this park is a good spot for fisher-people to come with their throw nets looking to catch Mullet to use as bait fish…and these guys are always looking for a hand out…if you are not careful they will come right up to your bucket and take the fish out…they are very annoying to the fisher-people…

Lunch time…
Have to throw a little food into the mix…we had egg salad sliders, grapes, pickles and a small bag of chips..I started buying a couple small bags of chips instead of a large one I eat less that way..cause you know the saying…”you cant eat just one”…

And poor little Maggie all “Pooped “ after a day of running around sniffing and barking and in general causing havoc….she looks so sweet and innocent… lol…but don’t let her fool you…

And the rest of the story..
Today (Sun.) will be a day of laundry and football..keeping up with my Fantasy Football Team…The Mighty Muskies…old HS mascot…being that Jamestown Pa where I went to school.. is the gate to Pymatuning Lake State Park…and the lake is famous Muskie fishing…I do have a story to tell about my internet ..but that will have to be later this is to long now…so thanks for looking and come back soon ..blessing G&M

MY MONDAY NEWS

My front yard today.
This is were we parked this morning at the home park. Could not get my usual spot but this is just as nice with  my own little green park bench. I have started to make my breakfast and lunch before I leave, trying to get there early and my parking spot.
After eating breakfast we set up our outside room. A chair for reading and watching…and a matt for Maggie that she very seldom uses. And this is our home for the day.


Some of the things we watch
Seen this pelican eating a fish he got…but not in the usual dive bombing way they do…I tried to get a pic of him eating but he was to fast for my slow camera ..one gulp and it was gone. People are always interesting to watch..along with other wild life….but not  much to report today.

Other things…
We were here yesterday also….lot of peeps here even tho they were calling for bad weather…did not get bad until about 4 pm and then it let loose..we were back at dads by then. I took of when the sky got black.
Today so far have not done much …after breakfast cleaned up the wheel estate…being small it gets messed up easy…then took Maggie for a walk around the park.
I get so frustrated sitting here not traveling around like everyone else…I want to go…see new and exciting (and the not so exciting) things and places…. I want to go before I get to old! Am I being selfish wanting this kind of retirement??  I wish I could express some of the frustrating things that I feel…but I don’t want this blog to be a downer…I read on another blog that most bloggers talk about their everyday life…the good, the bad and the ugly…lol…tell it like it is…why then do I hold back? Maybe more later…thanks for looking and come back soon.

DAY TRIP = WICKHAM PARK

We went to Wickham Park here in Melbourne yesterday. This is where we parked for the day. Very few people around.
This was the view out my window at the park. Not much happening there today. We took a couple walks & that’s about it.Even Maggie was a little bored. I did play ball with her a few times. Worked on my dd Christmas stocking, these are the colors she chose. Sand colored tan, light blue, and off white, then black to tie it all together. Hard to tell color in my photo. I read more on my manuals for the MH….have not tried anything else yet. I am going to the beach on Wed. That should be more interesting. The weather was very cool if not down right cold last night and today. Cold wind blowing from the north. 46 when we went for our walk early this morning.

GOODIES & BATHROOM &HELP!!

Here is the kit that they gave me when picking up my rig. 10 ft. sewer hose I wonder if that will be long enough?
The just before I was leaving one of the guys there said I have bunch of stuff I need to get rid of so take this also. Plus it had a couple WM bags with new sewer hook ups. Magana Hose as seen on TV not sure if this will be useful camping or not. And here is a pic of the power room. It is bigger than I thought it would be. The shower is right across from it.
Well I am overwhelmed with all I have to remember and know about this rig. I think the water intake, and dump will not be hard, nervous about doing it for first time (when ever that my be) but think I can do it.
Now the electric stuff is a problem, like …. I will be only doing day use for awhile parks , beach, etc. But I don’t know if I can use the house batteries , for such things as, TV, laptop, CD player, ?? with out draining them …how long do the house battery last?
I see the panel in the kitchen area , that shows levels of tanks, genny turn on, and other stuff. How about propane lots to know about that also …right now every thing is turned off…I want to use it and don’t know how ….and also with the start battery and house battery ….how full are those holes supose to be with the distilled water??? This only a few questions,,, but the major ones at this time
Help!!

FIRST DAY TRIP

This is where we went  on our day trip yesterday, There are 2 Canova Beaches , one is a dog beach, and this one no dogs. The dog beach is only a few hundred yards away, and we walked over there. The parking lot is a little to tight at the dog park  for me yet. We parked in this large parking lot . Only a few others where here all day and that was at lunch time. There were a few more that parked behind me, close to the access board walk to the beach. Not enough room there for me. To the right of the rig is the ocean where the green foliage is. About one hundred yards from the parking lot.This was the view out my window all day. Nice! There was a big breeze yesterday and I opened all the windows and was beautiful in the rig. In fact we were doing a little rock & rolling ! The color of the Atlantic was green and blue yesterday truly beautiful. High waves too.While we were over at the dog park we met this guy, Ryan and is Macaw Skipper. She has been in his family since she was hatched 26 years ago. He said that he has had her since 2000. Very interesting young man. Never know who or what you will run into while out and about. Have not been camping or traveling yet and I love being in the rig, pretty sure I could do full time. I don’t even want to be in the house, enjoying this new adventure so much. We took a couple walks and I worked on my mini paper bag albums. I want to start selling again make some $$$ so I can travel.
