FLOWERS AND A DOG

When we stopped at my daughters in the way to PA, she said a could pick some of her hydrangeas to take with me. Look at the multitude of colors she has growing. The one in the middle is pale yellow and light blue.
These are a little larger than the other ones, these are a little older bush. I wanted to dry them but I found out you have to pick them later towards fall when the color fades some. Oh well I sure am enjoying these right now.

And here is some lavender that came from a bush that I have had since the 1970's. I don't think they are suppose to live that long. I use to get about 25-30 of these bunches each year, and when I had my store I would sell them. This is the only bunch I got this year. Lavender needs full sun all day and there is a tree that is shading it a bit and I think that is the problem. I laid it by my pink knock out roses to take this pic. Nature sure is beautiful !!
And here is Maggie girl , keeping watch over her territory. And boy does she do a good  job. I put out my bird feeder and now she has a chipmunk, squirrels, and birds to keep at bay.

Since I have been home, getting a lot done. First thing I did was spruce up the yard and front porch, got out lawn chairs etc, and pulled weeds. No rain so grass is not growing much, good thing because I need to get a new lawn mower. Last Friday was my birthday, and went fishing with my son all day. I will post about that adventure next time. Yesterday I stared in the guest bedroom and scrubbed all the wood work, to start painting it on Wed. This afternoon going to my son's for a cook out. Well all for now thanks for looking and come back soon

DIGGIN, FLOATING CLASS C & A CACHE

I had to turn my water off before I left. I was leaving in Sept. so I started the process in July. Because the shut of was cemented the bottom of my drive way and I knew this would be a problem. To make a very long story short the water Co. dropped the ball and the pic you see below was the day before I was to leave. They finally got it done, but my drive way is not finished. They just put gravel in it and will cement it again when I get there next summer. They said they would come up and do it some time this fall or next spring, I said, no you will wait till I get back. After all that went on, I do not trust them to do the job right. I was on my way to the beach the other day and saw this on the river while crossing the causeway. A barge with a class C motor home on it. It was just sitting there pretty close to the causeway. When I came back there was a tug boat trying to move it back to where ever it belongs. I think it got loose and driffed there. I wonder why the Class C was on it in the first place? This was a cache I found on the way down here. Was a real anchor very big. Was a key magnet so was easy, but me, I made it hard. lol. But I did finally find it.
I am still dealing with my feet. I go to the doctor tomorrow will see what he has to say. They are better but I cant do normal things like my walking exercise or even go shopping. Have not been doing much went to the beach a couple times. We had that bad storm last weekend and are suppose to have another one today and tomorrow, but it is not as bad as they thought. Here its just cloudy gray and misting rain. Been working on some art swaps I joined you can check that out on my other blog http://redapplejunction.blogspot.com Dad had some blossoms on his tomato's but I think that wind got them last weekend. Did not break any plants so they should be ok. I want to have a yard sale as soon as I can walk and be on my feet for any length of time. All for now thanks for looking and come back soon

SWITCHING BLOGS

http://redapplejunction.blogspot.com/

Hi all, I have some news. Been thinking on this for awhile now and decided to stop blogging here at this time. When I made this blog I was planning on selling out all my stuff and home , get an RV and do some traveling. Well since then things have changed (we never know) and I am now going to be living in Florida. I am moving here to help out my 86 yr old dad. He does not want to move back up north and he can't be alone any more. So I am going to move over to my other blog http://redapplejunction.blogspot.com/ and just post everything there. I will still be posting any short trips ( camping I hope) that Maggie and I take, and geocaching along with everything else I post about there. So I hope you will come along over and keep up with Mag and I there. Thanks for looking and commenting on this blog. If and when I do any traveling that amounts to anything I will start this back up again.

see you at http://redapplejunction.blogspot.com/

Thanks G&M
