MINI-MINI WICKHAM GTG…

Got to Wickham Park …..
campground around noon…wanted to get there earlier but didn’t work out…visited with Miss Mermaid…and took a hike thru the woods…Florida woods not like northern woods…MM class C down this loop road you can see just the very front top on the other side of the white car ..way down there…It was a little cool with a breeze... sun was peaking in and out so was not to bad...Kind of nice for hiking ...

These pics were taken this morning after rain most to the night started  after 1 am…I did not sleep well so was in the know when it started.…no awing, chairs folded up, rain on table cloth…rain drops and nuts falling on roof…

Still raining this morning…this is the view out our window…hope it will clear up later…looks like it might looking at radar on weather bug…

Maggie waiting out the rain so she can go visit Harley Dog…yesterday there was some baring of teeth, snarling and attack mode going on…when some treats were given out and one was found lying about...they both wanted it....food is ok with Maggie sharing..but treats is another thing…anyway no harm done…except to the mama’s…they were up set  Maggie really likes to go see Harley and MM but then when she gets there she likes to ignore Harley...much to his displeasure because he is only 3 years old and still in puppy mode and wants to play...

And the rest of the story….
We are done with breakfast and now waiting for no more rain drops to fall…Will go down the loop and see what MM is up to..I looked at the Geocaching map last night and seen there are a couple of caches close by…think I will try and find them …introduce MM to Geocaching if she is up to it…well as I type this it is getting brighter out (no sun yet) and the only falling water is from the live oak tree limbs that are hanging over us…so will go now and try and have some fun times at Wickham! SOME CHANGES AND MODS TO RV…

Sofa change….
I was thinking I need to put something on the sofa to keep it clean..doggie always jumping on it…so I found this old quilt my brother gave me…(in good condition) put it on over the whole sofa that way it wont slip off….. as it hangs down the back to the floor…then put the throw over the back…and my pillows and I have a new sofa!! More homey looking than the standard brown/tan RV décor ….

Close up of the quilting and pattern on the quilt..this is an old one and hand quilted..I know some would say I should not use it…but why not…what is the use of having something if it is packed away…then given to the next person to pack away so on and so forth…

Some mods….
Some mods in the kitchen…the white spice hangers are great…they not only hold the clear spice  jars (in middle) but also the ones you buy in the stores so you don’t have to take them out and transfer to the other jars…in the clear jars I am going to put the herbs that I plan on growing this winter , dry them and put them in the jars..

And also on the other side are three more…just enough for me to put my meds in the cupboard …they slip right in place..just fit …

Got this step up at Home Depot..a couple weeks ago..I forgot the one I had when I left PA …my step stopped working just before I left in the spring and I had no way of getting it looked at in PA…I think that the sensor is not working…the step stopped working after the door got slammed real hard.. …I like this new two step stool..much easer for me to get in and out of…so I am in no hurry at this time to fix it….when I got the other single step they did not have these ones…glad I forgot the other one when I found this one…Maggie can even use it…

The rest of the story…..
There is suppose to be a cold front coming thru tonight and tomorrow and Thur. so I think I will wait until storms all over.. then go over to Wickham Park to dump the tanks …decided I will spend the night and flush it out real good…I still having problems with a smell…I thought I had it figured out the other day but …NOT…it is exasperating …. excited to be going on a GTG…Dad has to get a new A/C for the house …coming Wed  to put it in..I will be relieved with some cooler weather…Maggie too…for some reason she is not doing well with the heat this year…will work in the rig again today…so this is it for now thanks for looking and come back soon…have a great day and stay safe…blessings to all..G&M

WHAT A DAY…..

To day was the big beach day….
Today was to be the big beach day after all the bad weather, storms, rain, wind…high waves today…

Well we did finally make it to the beach…here is Soos and Dell….

But the story behind getting to the beach involves this picnic table…not Molly…the table tried to follow us out of the campground …..I think maybe Nan might know something about this…..lol

In the process of trying to hitch a ride to the beach it made this big dent in the big red truck…Soos’s truck to be exact…..witch did not help her blood pressure…

The rest of the story……
After we got ready for the beach…that being a big job takeing the 3 dogs with us…moving around crates etc so all dogs and people had room…we pulled out and that’s when the table tried to hitch a ride…well to make a very long day and story short …dogs stayed home…people went to Ford dealer..got idea how much repair would me  for big dent….almost a new red truck was purchased …..(did not happen) we people did end up at the beach….then went out to Chinese buffet and stuffed ourselves…That’s the story and I am sticking to it…thanks for looking and come back soon….blessings G&M

SOME STUFF…..

This post will be about some odds and ends of “stuff” with a few odd pics thrown in….

First up is blogger….
I want my blogger peeps that do not see me commenting on their blogs any more …the reason is Google seems determined to integrate Blogger into Google+. I went to Gypsy BoHo blog the other and wanted to make a post as she is at the beach again… and I was now “required to have a Google+ Profile” before I was allowed to comment on her  blog. I guess she and others have signed on to Google + ….this is something I do not want to do….you are required to give out your birthday on this profile and I am not wanting to do that…not cause I am old lady lol…cause of the other things that can happen when to much of your info is out there. So what I am planning on doing is mention my comments here on my blog to those blog I have visited and want to say something…hoping that they see it…(So Gypsy looks like you and the fur kids are having a great time….love that bike!) I might try doing the comment with red. So if you signed up for Google + I can’t comment  

Mini GTG at Wickham Park….
I talked with Women RV friend Soos and then we chatted with Dell another member… on FB last night and it was decided we would do a mini GTG this week…well when I went over to the park this am…it was busting at the seams with Vet’s…they were having a shindig there thru Sun….so this week is out…I will go again nest Tues check out sites and we will the go there then for the mini….I will be cutting it close to launch time to the trip north…but I can go when ever I want….now I can say jello plans !!!! MINI WICKHAM GTG

CAROL AND MAGGIE AT THE BEACH!
This is a pic of Carol and Maggie…Maggie’s  first encounter with waves! She did not seem to mind them at all…now my Maggie turns and runs the other way when the come on the beach. This was Carols first trip to the Atlantic.

The first day we gtg went out for lunch to a Chinese Buffet…had lots of good food ..maybe too good…we pigged out!!!
NEW FRIENDS!
And here a some new friendships being formed. Another camper in the parked walked by with her little year old Shih Tzu …a brindle color…never seen that color before and she was so cute & funny ….the Maggie's seem to like her they played together for awhile.…that is Carol on the right and I did  not the the lady’s name.
Carol and I went out to lunch on Wed. and then I took her for a ride around my area of Melbourne. Took her down to my “home park” so she now knows what I am talking about when I post about it….Then on Thrus. we went to the beach after a friend of Carols that stopped to visit her for awhile, fixed her batteries  and showed me just what I am looking at when I need to add water. She also made some mmm good pumpkin bread in the morning that we took along to the beach. We took food along to the beach and ate in my rig …so nice to sit and eat then go play on the beach with the doggies.  And during these two days…there was a lot of YAKING going on lol…we talked non stop I think…this seems to be a trait of the RV Women! BTW we went to the dog beach. Any way I was so glad for company. This so far has been a good year for visiting…my sister, the GTG, now CArol… who know what is next!!
