GEO CACHE SUNDAY

CEMETERY CACHE
MOTEL CACHE AREA

MOTEL CACHE

CABOOSE CACHE

We set out on Sunday with two goals in mind. One make # 50 cache and find at least one
travel bug to take on our trip. We did get the mini milestone # 50 cache! Yeah! All together we
found 4 caches. I will show you a few pic's the first is at a cemetery and I forgot to take pic of the
cache itself. This one was not to hard for a newbe. The second one is at a motel area where the cache is and next is the cache itself. This was a fairly easy one also just a process of elimination'
Next is The Little Red Caboose cache and it took awhile as there are many mugglers here. This is in a small tourist town along a creek where with fisher mugglers. A lot of neat little shops with lots of shopping mugglers. Nice day ..fishing mugglers...but they were not paying att, to me. I tried to find it with out GPSbut finaly got Mrs. Garmin-Geea out and found it with out much trouble. No critters were out and about today...after all it is Nov. ! Preivous logs on this said there were spiders and bugs around. Maggie waited in the truck again until I went to visit all my buddy shopowners then she went to visit also. I had a shop here for 15 yrs. until my retirement time! One other motel find I don't think I should post pic of the cache as it would give it away. I really am not sure what I should post on my finds...but I also wonder what the odds are that anyone from my area will read my blogs LOL. Well thats all for now.
Happy Caching

PS I can't figure out how to get rid of the double pic ..sorry

Army Cache it is a amo box has a log and some army and other swag.(items for trade) This is another one I found with out the GPS, since I knew the area and looking at google maps I figured it out. This one was a pretty easy find, found it in the summer took this pic in the fall. I really enjoy this game and looking forward to out of state finds while heading south. This find was uneventful.

FIRST GEOCACHE

FIRST GEOCACHE
HINT WHERE IT WAS LOCATED

When I first started geocaching in July of this year I did not have a GPS, so the first few finds were found with the hints I could glean from the log post and what ever the owner of the cache posted on their listing page and looking at the google map. This was the first one I found ,the hints were wood and hammer and by looking at the google map location of the cach I was able to figure out were it was, being that I live only a few miles away. I found it in about 3 min. and was delighted with my success! This is such a fun hobby great for family fun and it gets you outdoors and exercise to boot! To check out all this geocaching go to http://www.geocaching.com/ and join the site its free. When you join and go to hide and seek page type in you zip code and be suprised how many are located around your town. I think you will be shocked! I know I was. What I would like to have now is a caching buddy (besides maggie :) ) it seems no one in my family is intrested and thinks I'm a bit nuts doing this. Just wanted to start this blog going I will put some of my finds on but I didnt take pic's of all them , but will start now that I have the blog going, but will be careful not to give to much away :)

Happy Caching
