WE ARE IN PA….

Seem a lot of these on the way back….
Beautiful mountains and lot of blue sky and wonderful clouds…no rain or gray skies…

Why is it …when traveling down the highway…you see all this beauty and when you take a pic…it is never the same or is it ..I just need a better camera…

SNUG AS A BUG AGAIN…
Here we are again snugged right in the drive way I was worried the RV would not fit…just made it..take note the property line on the other side is where it fits might even be a few inches over…the edge of the line is my drive way…I have a very, very small lot…

When I say just fits…I really mean it!!!… WOW…

I got a lot done these 4 days ….
At least I think I have… .Tues went to the Home Depot where my son works and got a new hot water tank and a new lawn mower…came back home and got busy washing the front porch and steps ….got out a few pieces of furniture to sit and relax on for the summer….In the morning before I left the neighbor came over and helped me trim tree branches at the end of the drive so I could back in…I hate to cut trees…it took me 30 years to grow my little forrest that shades my house very nicely …any way I was very great full and did not want to mess it up taking pic’s so no pic’s of that. Son came in Wed put the hot water tank in…he left and when I went upstairs no hot water would come out of the tap…worked on that all afternoon …and found out  forgot to turn on one of the valves…huh?…where was my head…Well enough for now ..thanks for looking and come back soon…blessings …G&M

HEADING OUT THIS MORNING….

Not my usual route…

Woke up to very foggy conditions this morning so….might be getting a later start…

Since I now have the RV..I am not taking my usual rt. the Pennsylvania turnpike…it is a fast crazy..skinny, always under construction road…a bit of history of turnpike… The road opened on October 1, 1940 between Irwin and Carlisle as the first long-distance limited-access highway in the United States that led to the construction of other limited-access toll roads and the Interstate Highway System. No wonder it is under construction all the time…its OLD!

So think I will head up and across rt 68 to I-79 it is longer but I will be more at ease driving…this leg of trip thru the Allegheny Mts.

GETTING READY TO ROLL….

Down the highway….
Sunday May 19…would have been my brothers 64th. birthday…RIP brother….
The wisteria is just starting to bloom across my DD’s shed…not quite in the hanging down stage yet…..did you know there are two kinds of wisteria…one smells pretty and one does not….guess which one this is..lol…

Don’t you just love driftwood…I do…here is a great piece they found somewhere along their travels…and made it into a bird feeder…pretty cool…

Today is the day….
Well today we will be stowing away things and packing up ready to roll in the morning…not to much to do tho… did laundry last evening so that’s done…will get to PA with clean clothes…  been working on my blog pic’s wanted them a little bigger…so last couple post I experimented and came up with what I think will be good size …you can see them better and they look better I think anyway…a couple things I want to mention about comments I got…gypsy if you go to Fernandina Beach this fall let me know maybe we could meet up…and Liz…I will be in Greenville PA…west side of PA near Ohio line..up I – 79…but I can move around.. have wheels will  roll…if you pass thru PA let me know maybe we can also meet up…and anyone else coming to my area let me know…love to meet up and GTG The last leg of my trip  will be about 300 miles…so not sure if I will do it all on Monday or make it a two day trip….it is a five hr. doing normal speed limit of 70 mph…not so the way I drive the rig…All for now thanks for looking and come back soon..blessings G&M

AROUND THE HOUSE…

Knock Out roses sure popped out the last couple of days….

Took a look at theses this morning when taking Maggie out…wow lots popped over night…but there are still a couple million buds on them yet…I won’t get to see the full bloom…

Look a pretty kitty hiding in the flowers,,,waiting on a bird??? not…he is fake…looks an awful like kids kitty Booey…he is white just like this fake only 14 years young…but not doing so good…old age creeping up…

Well what I did today….

Went to some yard sales this morning…even tho it rained …there were a lot of them…stopped at Lowes and Home Depot..looking at privacy fence for their back yard…came home took a nap and then helped with the grilling of Salmon, zucchini, garlic bread, and a salad…now going to watch the Preakness race then who knows what…Tomorrow I will be getting MySweetDream ready to travel…the last leg of this trip to PA…So that’s it for today thanks for looking and come back soon

HAPPENING THINGS IN VA….

Went to Bed Bath & Beyond….
DD and I went to BB&B yesterday …after seeing this grill pan my GS was using the other day …I really needed one!!

So I got one…..
This works great…you really need one….the handle folds down behind the pan part…taking up little space in an RV….great for grilling vegie's and small things that would slip thru the grates on the grill....

Got more of these also….
I got a couple of these awhile ago…I would have got more but they only had one package..so these jumped in my buggy yesterday…picnic table clothe clamps…

Been helping my DD with her work….
My DD is painter..she has always did this and sold at craft show …as a stay at home mom…believe me she made more than if she would have joined the outside work force…anyway…here are some sea shell Santa face Christmas ornaments she makes and sells…

These are some that she sold at a show ….some time ago…she has now started to make the faces three dimensional by sculpting with clay the nose and cheeks…sooo very cute…she sculpts on most any surface from the shells to old kitchen utensils even fishing reels… here is her Etsy place if you want to take a look. … she only has a couple things there right now but as fall comes on she will have a lot more… you can click on her sold items as see more …what I did for here was to base coat all the flesh color on the faces she had done …I am sure that it is a big time saver for her…I use to paint and sell also.. so I know how it goes…Today we are going shopping over where my SIL works and out to eat ..I think…So all for now thanks for looking and come back soon…

STILL IN VA….

Better view of where we are….
This is a better view of MySweetDream parked at my DD’s…they have fixed up their home like a beach side cottage…as she loves the beach….the knock out roses are just starting to bloom…in lower left of pic…when they are in full bloom..they have a silvery glow about them…like bright moon beams…she has secret food she feeds them…I have never seen anything like them…

Missed the tulips again…
Again I missed the tulips in bloom she has them planted all along the curve of this area up to the front steps…they are planted think and lovely…she text me a pic of them not sure how to get pic from text to blog…

Some shells that were piled up at Fernandina Beach in FL…tons of shells…I really love this beach and cant wait to go back..will stop on way back to dad’s in the fall…

Sail boats all over the park…
One Sat. at the home park…there were about 30 small one man sale boats…it was  not a good weather day and about 11 am they all went out and about 1 pm they all came sailing back and a fast pace trying to beat the storm that was right behind them…they just made it…

I guess I will be leaving here headed to PA..on Monday ….will have to stop first and see about getting my water turned on….I hope to drive it all in one day…will see how it goes…want to go to a flea market on Sun down the road from DD house…All for now thanks for looking and come back soon..blessings G&M

MADE IT TO VA…..

Well we made it to VA…
We made it to VA …late yesterday afternoon just in time to meet my SIL on his why home from work… so he could back my rig into their drive way…easier for him than me….
I guess this is why they call them the blue ridge mts……

I was very carful and only took a couple of pic’s ….I only drive 55 t0 60 …mostly 58..everyone else passes my by…So very thankful that this was a non eventful trip…I did one thing…at Wateree ..locked my keys in the rig…had no ladder so took cooler, stool on top and then a small cooler on top of stool and went in thru the window head first…legs and feet flaying behind me…I am sure I was a site to be hold...I have tried to get more keys made but every place I have been to said they cant make them….

Tucked away in the drive…
Here we are snug as a bug…even got pretty scenery to boot…just hooked up to elec….have small elec heater and blanket …so we stay warm…suppose to get up to 80 couple days…

I miss my beach….!!!

Today I hope to get some laundry done and do some cleaning of my home on wheels…after six days on the road…it needs it…going to do some shopping with DD..and then go to visit grandson and his wife…he will bbq dinner for us…when it warms up I will get the rest of the love bugs and crud off the cab…the love bugs I left behind in FL thank goodness…will take the paint of your vehicle if not taken care of…my DD’s little cottage home is out in its spring finery I will take some pic show you on another post…well better get busy thanks for looking and come back soon
